Cleaning up muddy runners

For your post-race clean up, you can use the outdoor showers located at Panorama Park. There are also shower facilities at Parkgate Community Centre (there’s a small fee, payable at the front desk). If you opt to clean up at Parkgate, please clean off mud before you use their showers as any mud will clog their drain systems.

Banquet RSVP for runners and volunteers

The Race Banquet on Saturday evening is a very special part of the Knee Knacker and we really encourage all participants, volunteers, family and friends to attend.

If you’re a runner:

  • Your race package will include ONE free ticket to the banquet.
  • You must RSVP by Wednesday, July 6 by 9 a.m. to Bev McKenna (mckenna7@telus.net). Please indicate how many people — including yourself — are coming to the banquet. This ensures that there will be enough food and room for you and your guests and it is extremely important!!
  • You can pickup your guest’s tickets at Packet Pickup or at the banquet. As long as you RSVP’d, your spots are confirmed.

If you’re a volunteer:

  • Please tell your captain or co-ordinator if you’re attending the banquet by Monday, July 4. You will receive a free dinner ticket from your captain or coordinator.

If you have any questions, please contact Bev McKenna at mckenna7@telus.net.

Food, food, food!

As a newbie on the Knee Knacker Race Committee, I am delighted to announce that the banquet menu has been finalized.  As in previous years, Tommy’s Catering will be providing us with their excellent service and delicious food. This year’s menu includes three different salads, barbequed chicken, vegetarian options and vegetables. I’m sure all runners will leave the banquet satisfied and delighted with the meal! I look forward to providing you with a wonderful banquet dinner on July 9!

Bev McKenna

Race Banquet — RSVP by Wednesday!

Hi, everyone!

Are you coming to dinner after the race? Well of course you are — gotta refuel after all that running! Besides a great dinner from Tommy’s Catering, there’s also a slideshow, door prizes (swag!), dessert, and of course, the awards. And as a runner or volunteer, it’s all free! (Well, not quite — drinks aren’t free.) More information about the banquet can be here. So RSVP to me by the end of Wednesday, July 7. Your RSVP helps me ensure that we have enough for everyone.

Andrew (Banquet Co-ordinator)
