Hello fellow trail runners!  With weather like we've had lately, it's almost starting to feel like July!

Planning is well underway for the 20th Annual Knee Knacker & with only 1 month & 20 days left, the excitement is definitely starting to build!  Communications will increase over the next 8 weeks as race day approaches - and please don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions or comments.

Following is some important info for this year:

Banquet

We are expecting a full, fun-filled banquet, and we've made some changes to our banquet ticket process this year:

bulletAll runners & volunteers will receive **ONE** free banquet ticket.  **If you want a guest to join you, you need to purchase an extra ticket  **
bullet150 dinner tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at Packet Pickup on Thursday & Friday night at North Shore Athletics.

** Unlike previous years, banquet tickets will NOT be sold at the banquet - all tickets must be purchased in advance at Packet Pickup **

Ticket prices are:

bullet Adults:  $15
bullet Kids 5-15 yrs:  $10
bullet Kids under 5 yrs:  $5

Please RSVP to Andrew Wong, our Banquet co-ordinator through our Feedback Form by July 9th.

20th Annual Knee Knacker Jacket

Thank you to everyone who has already shared ideas to commemorate the 20th Annual Knee Knacker.  We are excited about the limited edition, commemorative Knee Knacker jacket available for purchase this year.  100 of these high-quality garments from Gaia will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at packet pickup on Thursday & Friday night & at the banquet (if there are any still available).  Pricing & a picture will be posted soon & I expect they'll go fast!  These will be available to all former, current, future Knee Knackerers, volunteers, friends & family.

Training Runs

Training runs have started & everyone is welcome.  Glenn Pace, Craig Moore & Rod Hatfull are leading these each week & will also be looking for volunteers to help along the way.  Check out our Training Run Schedule.  This year, Bill Dagg is once again leading the 'Unofficial Wednesday Night Runs' - more info is at Wednesday Night Runs if you're interested in a mid-week group run too.

Entry Requirement - Volunteer Hours

Thank you to everyone who has already filled out the Volunteer Requirement Form - please remember to do this before June 20th if you are one of this year's entrants.   We recognize that many people already contribute numerous hours for many different causes and we thank you for this.

Race Day Volunteers

If you have friends or family members that are willing to volunteer on Race Day, THANK YOU for this - we have more than a 1:1 ratio of runners to volunteers on race day - many who come back year after year.  For any questions, or to volunteer, please contact Ethelyn David, our Volunteer Co-ordinator through our Feedback Form.

Trail Work Party

This year's trail work party will be on May 31st.  Check out Trail Work Party for all the details & please RSVP to our trail work party co-ordinator, Andrew Wong through our Feedback Form.
