20th Annual Knee Knackering North Shore Trail RunHorseshoe Bay to Deep Cove - 30 MilesJuly 12th, 2008 @ 6:00 amENTRY INSTRUCTIONSDescription: Canada's "knarliest" ultra-marathon takes runners across the North Shore of Vancouver, starting at Horseshoe Bay and running along the Baden-Powell Trail to Deep Cove. The course covers over 16,000 feet of elevation change (8,000 ft. up, 8,300 ft. down) through some of the most beautiful scenery in British Columbia. This is a demanding course and will appeal to people with some experience in trail and/or endurance events. Competitors must complete the race within 10 hours; cut-off times will be enforced from the half-way mark onwards. Features:

*** Important Service Requirement *** To be eligible to compete in this event, in addition to being selected in the lottery, you must complete four (4) hours of service. This may be in the form of volunteer trail maintenance or volunteer work at an organized trail or road running race. The period to meet this requirement for 2008 is from July 1, 2007, to June 15, 2008. This is a mandatory requirement of all applicants accepted in the lottery. You can fill in the details of the work you performed to meet this requirement, including date of service, event/race, and what was performed using our Volunteer Requirements Form. Alternatively, you may email/fax/mail details, as per instructions on the Web site. In all cases the Knee Knacker Race Committee must receive all necessary information by June 20, 2008 (3 weeks prior to race day), or you will not be allowed to participate in the Run. Refund Policy: Refunds are only available if you withdraw by March 1, 2008, or if your name is not drawn in the lottery. In either case, the refund amount is $95 (Canadian) or $85 (US). The remaining $10 is a non-refundable administration fee. Course Records:
