February 25, 2007 Hello fellow trail runners! I’ve received a number of questions about the 2007 volunteer service requirement. The spirit of this is to give back to local communities however you choose. If you have any questions, please have a quick read of the following. The 2007 volunteer service entry requirement: 1. is 4 hours total (i.e. you can volunteer 2 hours leading a training run & 2 hours doing your own trail maintenance) 2. does not need to be Knee Knacker related 3. does not need to be with an organized event or registered charity (you can do something on your own) 4. does not need to be ‘authorized’ by anyone 5. needs to be performed between July 2006 -> June 2007 (if you volunteered at last year’s race, thank you and yes, this counts). In order to meet the 2007 Entry Deadline of February 28th, you may submit your entry before you have performed your volunteer service.
