- West on the Baden Powell trail up through
the British Properties to Millstream Rd/Craigmohr Dr.
- Right up the hill on Craigmohr
keeping left onto Kildonan Rd.
- Up the hill on Kildonan and straight onto
the trail that starts at the end of the road.
- Follow the trail, keeping left at the small meadow.
Shortly after that, you'll come to an intersection with a marked trail to the
left.
- Go left (about 10-20 steps) and then
right. You should come out to a bigger trail with a big sign
on the left that says "Trail". This is Kildonan Trail.
- Go left onto Kildonan Trail and follow it
(mostly up at the beginning then rolling) for about 10 minutes until it
intersects with the Brother's Creek Fire Access road. There's an obvious sign
post here indicating that you're at the Fire access road.
- Go right following the Fire Access road up
for about 10 minutes until you come to a picnic table and another sign post
that indicates Crossover Trail.
- Go left off of the Fire Access road
following the Crossover Trail westward. After about 15 minutes you'll cross
over a small bridge over Brother's Creek.
- Very shortly after crossing the bridge, you'll come to a T
intersection with the Brother's Creek trail. Go right (you
can go left if you want a shorter option -- you'll end up down at the Baden
Powell trail after about 5 minutes of steep downhill, at which point you'll
want to go left).
- Very quickly (less than 1 minute) you should come to
another Crossover Trail signpost. Go left.
- Follow the Crossover Trail for another 5 minutes or so and
you'll come to an intersection with the Baden Powell trail.
- Go straight following the Crossover Trail
(you can go left following the Baden Powell Trail for a shorter option).
- After 10-15 minutes you'll come to an intersection with Brewis Trail.
Check out the huge old-growth Douglas Fir at this intersection. Go left (downhill).
- After another 5 minutes or so you'll come out to the powerlines and Skyline Trail. Go left.
- Follow Skyline back into the woods for another 5-10 minutes
and you'll come back out to the Baden Powell Trail at the bottom of the
"Chute". Go right.
- Take the easily-missed left following the
Baden Powell Trail after no more than a couple of minutes down the rocky road.
- Follow the Baden Powell markers and sign-posts back to
Cleveland Dam.
