Driving Directions heading west on Upper Levels Highway from Vancouver:

bullet Take Caulfield Exit #4
Turn left onto Westport road
bullet At the 4-way stop go straight through and follow Westport road for about 1 ½ km
bullet Follow Westport under the highway and park in the small gravel lot on your right-hand side (there is a bike path and Trans Canada Trail sign in the parking lot)

Trail Directions:

bullet Go past the gate, & follow the wide trail under the Highway
bullet Go past the water towers and keep straight (don’t go over the bridge on your left)
bullet Follow the signs for the Trans Canada Trail east
bullet Take the Trans Canada Trail east for 10 minutes until you come to a large rotten stump on your left hand side.  Here you will see a trail going down to your left....take this trail.  There are no signs – we will have flagging and a marshal here on race day
bullet This trail crosses Nelson Creek over a huge fallen tree.  BE CAREFUL.  TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY - A FALL HERE COULD BE SERIOUS.  (we don’t want to be over dramatic, but you get the point)
bullet Follow the trail over Whyte Creek (pseudo bridge here) & Whyte Lake will be hidden on your right
bullet When you get to a very obvious fork in the trail, stay left & follow this until it meets the Baden-Powell (about 2 min down and around the corner)
bullet Turn right on to the Baden-Powell, and you’re on the 28 mile home stretch.
