March 9, 2006 292 entries were received for the 2006 race before the February 28 cut-off. Unfortunately, the race is limited to 200 runners due to a number of factors. A total of 262 runners were drawn from all who have submitted applications. This is to allow for an attrition rate of about 24% prior to race day, which is consistent with recent race experience. Below is a list of the entrants whose names were not drawn in the lottery, in alphabetical order. Please note that this is not a "wait list". In recent history, we have rarely had a dropout rate of much more than 24% prior to race day. Therefore, no wait list will be maintained for the 2006 race. Refund cheques will be mailed to lottery entrants on this list. We would love to still have you (and your family and friends) be a part of this year's race. Consider volunteering your time and energy in helping others to achieve their goals. Our volunteer to runner ratio of better than 1:1 makes for a very unique and personal experience for everyone.
